Other Activities
Being part of a church is not just about turning up for an hour or so on Sunday. It's about being part of a living, breathing community. That means connecting and reconnecting with one another, supporting one another, and valuing what each member brings to that community.
Dinners & Breakfasts
St Luke's has a long history of eating together! Every fifth Sunday we host a breakfast between the services (9am-10am) which brings the two Sunday congregations together. We have regular parish dinners, including one on or around St Luke's commemoration day each year (18 October).
Bible Studies
One way to get involved is to join a Bible study group. Usually in someone's home, and sometimes at the church, these Bible studies are a great way to get to know other members of the church, have a few laughs, receive prayer and support, and most importantly, explore what God's word has to say to us today. So grab a cuppa and join in the fun!
Prayer Chain
Prayer is the way we communicate with God and invite his intervention in our lives. At St Luke's we have a prayer chain, so that whenever there is a dire need for prayer, people on the 'prayer chain' are contacted and they begin to pray. This is an important ministry of the church. If you'd like to join the prayer chain, please get in touch with Guerin.
